For SaaS-focused agencies

Turn repeatable client search work into recommendations, briefs, and Ads actions your team can review

Clickbuddy runs keyword research, groups topics, prepares SEO recommendations, generates briefs, and surfaces Google Ads action items inside each client subaccount. Senior consultants stay focused on judgement, strategy, and the client story.

Your method is real. Too much of it still depends on manual rebuilds.

Every agency has a way of doing search. The thinking is rarely the problem. The problem is that senior consultants still get pulled into per-client research, prioritisation, brief prep, Ads checks, and QBR story-building because the method lives in people’s heads, old docs, and decks rebuilt from scratch. When every analyst interprets the playbook differently, every client gets a slightly different version of your method.

Your current stack

What you are doing today

Multi-client Ahrefs or SEMrush agency tier

Good for lookups and reporting, weak as a shared execution system

Where it breaks

Each client login is a fresh rebuild because the tool gives data, not your process, recommendations, briefs, or Ads actions.

Recommended option: A better alternative

A setup that prepares repeatable client work from each client’s context, so every account starts from the same method without copy-pasting from the last engagement.

What you are doing today

Internal playbooks in Notion, Drive, or a bespoke wiki

Living outside the daily work

Where it breaks

Playbooks drift. Analysts interpret them differently. QBRs reflect the analyst’s style instead of the agency’s method. Onboarding a new hire takes months.

Recommended option: A better alternative

A method that runs inside the system your analysts use: research, grouping, business-fit labels, SEO briefs, and Ads action items prepared the same way across accounts.

What you are doing today

Custom QBR decks rebuilt every quarter per client

Hours per client, per quarter

Where it breaks

The story depends on who built the deck. Retainer value depends on that deck being good.

Recommended option: A better alternative

Client-ready reasoning behind every topic, page recommendation, and Ads action, so the QBR starts from prepared decisions instead of a blank narrative.

What you are doing today

Looker Studio stitching GSC, GA, and Ads per client

Data pipelines per client

Where it breaks

The dashboard shows numbers, not next steps. Clients still ask “but what should we do?” at the end of every review.

Recommended option: A better alternative

Decision-ready output on top of the reporting you already run. Topic priorities, Ads action items, and SEO briefs mean the “what should we do” answer is ready before the meeting.

What you are doing today

Clickbuddy gives your practice a shared system for preparing client-specific search work: research, recommendations, briefs, campaigns, and action items with the reasoning visible.

Where it breaks

Intent Stack

Recommended option: A better alternative

Your analysts already think in terms of buyer intent. The Intent Stack names the five tiers consistently so every analyst, every client, and every QBR uses the same vocabulary: Comparison, Product, Problem, Strategic, Retention.

When a client asks why you’re recommending a comparison page before a thought-leadership piece, the answer is visible in the model. The comparison page converts buyers who are ready to decide. The thought-leadership piece builds the pipeline that feeds those comparison pages later. Clickbuddy uses the same model across every subaccount, while each client’s market, competitors, and product make the recommendations client-specific.

1

Build awareness

Earlier-intent content earns trust and keeps you top of mind.

Strategic intent Shape demand
Problem intent Build trust
2

Win the customer

High-intent queries cash in the demand you primed.

Product intent Capture demand
Comparison intent Win buyers
3

Grow loyalty

Retention content compounds into word of mouth.

Retention intent Grow lifetime value
Word of mouth feeds new prospects back to the top

Business-fit classification

Not every topic deserves the same channel support. Business-fit classification labels every topic group across every subaccount as commercial, must-win, authority builder, tangential, or discard. That label makes the channel decision visible and defensible in the QBR.

A topic like “Monday.com alternative” for a competing work-management SaaS client is commercial. Comparison-intent buyers are deciding now, so Search Ads can capture demand while the SEO page builds compounding visibility.

A topic like “project management spreadsheet template” is an authority builder. It can earn links and trust, but rarely justifies Search Ads spend for a paid SaaS product. Clickbuddy can prepare the SEO brief and flag the paid-search caution before the analyst spends time building the wrong campaign.

Growth themes

Growth themes are the organising view that ties it all together. One theme holds the customer segment, topic groups, Intent Stack tier, business-fit label, SEO recommendations, generated briefs, Ads opportunities, and action items for one strategic area.

For the agency, themes make portfolio work more consistent. Across five or twenty subaccounts, the same organising structure makes every client’s roadmap legible in the same format. For the client, a growth theme is the answer to “what are we doing about this area of the business”: one place to see the plan, the progress, and the reasoning.

Where to start

Create your agency account and invite your consultants

Set up your agency account, then invite your team as admins or consultants. Admins see everything. Consultants are assigned only to the clients they work on, and can’t see clients they aren’t assigned to. The shared method lives at the agency level. Per-client business context stays isolated inside each subaccount.

Add each client as a subaccount

Every client gets a fully isolated subaccount with its own business context, data sources, growth themes, recommendations, briefs, and action items. One client’s data never bleeds into another’s. Onboarding a new client is a context-setup exercise, not a tool-learning exercise.

Optionally invite client users

Some agencies keep Clickbuddy as the internal system. Others invite client users to collaborate. Both models are supported. A client user sees only their own subaccount, and the visible method can strengthen the relationship because the client sees the reasoning behind the work.

Run the standard process inside the first client subaccount

Capture business context, run keyword research, classify topic groups by Intent Stack tier and business fit, and organise them into growth themes. Then generate SEO briefs, create Google Ads campaigns where relevant, and work through action items. The same process runs across every client. The output differs because the context does: ad copy references the client’s value arguments, briefs are shaped by their competitor set, and priorities are weighted by their path to pipeline.

Before you sign up

Does this threaten my value to clients?
No. Clients don’t pay retainers for keyword research alone. They pay for judgement, prioritisation, execution quality, and a story at the QBR. Clickbuddy makes the structured daily routine faster and the approach more visible. Agencies that do the thinking still get paid for the thinking.
What happens when my client sees the tool directly?
Agencies running Clickbuddy inside a client subaccount are usually comfortable with the client seeing it. The approach you run, including the Intent Stack, business-fit classification, growth themes, briefs, and action items, becomes a visible part of the service. For a more walled-off arrangement, a shared-reporting-only model is possible.
Is there partner pricing?
Not yet. Partner pricing is on the roadmap. Today’s pricing is per subaccount. An arrangement for agencies running three or more clients is handled directly rather than through a self-serve tier. Talk to us before scaling across a portfolio.

Clickbuddy prepares the repeatable client work: research, topic groups, recommendations, briefs, campaigns, and Ads actions. Your team reviews the logic, adds judgement, and tells the client story.
